How many calories in a Kinder Bueno? Bar, pack, White and mini

Calories, sugar and fat in one Kinder Bueno bar and in the pack of two, in the White, Dark and mini versions and in the ice cream, plus what it means for your day, with Ferrero’s official figures country by country.

Kinder Bueno calories: the numbers per bar, per pack and per version

Published on October 27, 2026 · By the Ember team

In short

  • One Kinder Bueno bar (21.5 g) contains 122 kcal and 8.9 g of sugar. The standard pack holds two bars: 244 kcal and 17.8 g of sugar in total.

  • Per 100 g, that is 572 kcal, 37.3 g of fat and 41.2 g of sugar, the same values on Ferrero’s websites for France, the UK, Spain, Germany and Sweden.

  • Kinder Bueno White is slightly lighter per bar (19.5 g, 111 kcal), Dark slightly higher (125 kcal), and a Kinder Bueno mini has 31 kcal.

  • A pack of two covers about 12% of the adult reference intake for energy (2,000 kcal), but 37% of the one for saturated fat: that is the figure that stands out.

How many calories in a Kinder Bueno? 122 kcal per bar, 244 per pack

You open the pack, bite into the first bar, and the second one almost always follows. That is the catch with Kinder Bueno: the wrapper holds two bars, while the figures Ferrero puts forward are for just one. A bar weighs 21.5 g and contains 122 kcal, so a 43 g pack contains 244.

According to Ferrero’s official website, 100 g of Kinder Bueno contain 572 kcal, 37.3 g of fat including 17.3 g of saturates, 49.5 g of carbohydrate including 41.2 g of sugars, 8.6 g of protein and 0.27 g of salt. The recipe explains these numbers: milk chocolate (31.5%), sugar, palm oil, wheat flour, hazelnuts (10.8%) and milk powders.

Using 9 kcal per gram of fat, the conversion factor set by EU labelling rules, nearly 60% of the calories come from fat and a little under a third from sugars. Kinder Bueno is therefore more of a fatty treat than a sugary one, which sets it apart from many other sweets.

Official Ferrero values (Kinder France website) for the bar, the mini and 100 g. Pack row: Ember’s calculation (twice the values of one bar); working from the per-100 g values gives 246 kcal, the gap comes from rounding. Share of calories from fat: Ember’s calculation (37.3 g × 9 kcal out of 572 kcal).

Keep one simple rule in mind: one bar is about 120 kcal; the whole pack, about 245 kcal. If you only eat one and save the other for later, count half the pack.

Kinder Bueno White, Dark and mini: calories in each version

The classic Kinder Bueno, coated in milk chocolate, is not alone on the shelf. Kinder Bueno White, made with white chocolate, has almost the same calorie density (571 kcal per 100 g), but its bars are smaller: 19.5 g instead of 21.5 g. One bar therefore has 111 kcal, and the pack of two (39 g) 222 kcal. It contains a little more sugar per 100 g (43.9 g against 41.2 g) and half the hazelnuts (5% against 10.8%).

Kinder Bueno Dark, coated in dark chocolate, is the most calorific in the range: 582 kcal per 100 g, or 125 kcal per bar of 21.5 g. The gap with the classic is just 3 kcal per bar: dark chocolate changes the taste far more than the numbers.

Finally, the Kinder Bueno mini uses the classic recipe in individually wrapped 5.4 g bites, at 31 kcal each. Four minis roughly equal one bar (124 kcal), and a bag of 20 minis goes over 600 kcal. It is the easiest format to count one by one, and also the easiest to finish without noticing. We had already flagged it in our table of Halloween candy calories, where the Kinder Bueno mini is among the lightest chocolates per piece.

Is Kinder Bueno the same in the UK, France, Spain or Germany?

Good news if you travel or shop online: the recipe is the same across Europe, give or take a few details. We checked the values on Ferrero’s Kinder websites for France, the UK, Spain, Germany, Sweden and Denmark. The classic Kinder Bueno shows 572 kcal and 41.2 g of sugar per 100 g everywhere, and 122 kcal per 21.5 g bar. Only the ingredient list varies slightly, for example 10.5% hazelnuts on the UK site against 10.8% elsewhere, with no effect on the nutrition values shown.

Kinder Bueno White has one small difference: the Spanish site lists 572 kcal and 43.6 g of sugar per 100 g, against 571 kcal and 43.9 g in France, the UK, Germany and Sweden. Per bar, nothing changes: 111 kcal in every case. There is no Kinder website specific to Norway; the nearest one, the Swedish site, shows the same values as the rest of Europe.

The real difference is on the packaging. In France, the UK and Spain, the number on a multipack counts packs of two bars: a French “x10” or a UK “10 pack” weighs 430 g, which is 20 bars. In Germany it counts bars: a “6er-Pack” holds 6 bars of 21.5 g (129 g), in other words three packs. Before you multiply, check what the number refers to. As for production, Ferrero says that 86% of the Kinder Bueno sold in France between September 2023 and August 2024 came from its plant in Villers-Écalles, Normandy.

What a Kinder Bueno means for your day

On the pack, Ferrero shows the share of the “reference intakes” covered by one bar. These benchmarks are set by EU food information rules for an average adult eating 2,000 kcal a day: 70 g of fat, 20 g of saturates, 260 g of carbohydrate, 90 g of sugars, 50 g of protein and 6 g of salt. They are neither targets nor personal limits, just common reference points for every product; your real needs depend on your height, age, sex and activity level.

Measured against these benchmarks, one bar is modest in energy: 6% of the day. The whole pack doubles everything. What stands out most is saturated fat: 7.4 g for two bars, more than a third of the daily benchmark, coming from cocoa butter, palm oil and milk fat. Protein, on the other hand, stays low, at 3.6 g per pack.

In practice, a Kinder Bueno fits easily into a balanced day. What matters is how often and what comes with it: a bar with a coffee now and then is not the same as two packs a day on top of other desserts.

What about sugar? What the WHO recommends

The 90 g of sugars in the EU reference intake covers all sugars, including those from fruit and milk. The World Health Organization looks at it differently: it recommends keeping free sugars (added by the manufacturer or the cook, plus those in honey, syrups and fruit juice) below 10% of energy intake, and ideally below 5%, which is roughly 25 g a day. For an adult eating 2,000 kcal, the 10% threshold works out to 50 g of sugars (Ember’s calculation).

A pack of Kinder Bueno contains 17.8 g of sugars. Part of it is lactose from the milk powders, which does not count as free sugar. But dairy ingredients make up only 19.5% of the recipe, so more than half of the sugars are added sugar. A pack therefore takes up a good share of the WHO’s ideal benchmark.

That is not a reason to ban the bar, just a reference point for where to place it. The total climbs when sweets come on top of sugary drinks, breakfast cereals and biscuits every day. Our guide on added sugar explains what happens in the body when too much becomes a habit.

Kinder Bueno vs Kinder Chocolate, Maxi and Country: which Kinder bar has the most calories?

Next to other Kinder products, Bueno has its own profile. Per 100 g, it is among the most calorific in the range (572 kcal), but also among the least sugary: 41.2 g of sugars, against 53.3 g for Kinder Chocolate and Kinder Maxi. The wafer and hazelnuts replace some of the sugar, and bring more fat with them.

Per piece, it all comes down to weight. One Bueno bar (122 kcal) sits between a Kinder Maxi (119 kcal) and a Kinder Country (132 kcal); a Kinder Chocolate bar, half the size, has only 71. On the other hand, the pack of two Buenos (244 kcal) is more than a Kinder Délice, the cake of the range (176 kcal). That is often where the difference lies: people compare one Kinder Maxi bar with a whole pack of Bueno.

Kinder Bueno ice cream: how many calories in a cone or a tub?

Kinder Bueno also comes as an ice cream, and it is one of the most common searches around the brand. The Kinder Bueno cone (62 g, or 90 ml) contains 219 kcal, 12.6 g of fat and 16.3 g of sugars; the White version is almost identical (218 kcal). One portion of the Kinder Bueno tub (100 ml, or 62.6 g) contains 197.

A cone therefore has slightly fewer calories than a pack of bars (219 against 244 kcal), with about the same amount of sugar. The values for the classic cone are identical on Ferrero’s French, UK and German websites.

Enjoying a Kinder Bueno and counting it right

A Kinder Bueno does not need to be “earned” or made up for. Counting it correctly is enough, and a few simple habits help.

Count bars, not packs

The most useful habit: know whether you ate one bar or the whole pack. One bar is 122 kcal; two are 244. On a multipack, also check what the number counts: packs in the UK and France, bars in Germany.

The mini for a small craving

Individually wrapped, the Kinder Bueno mini (31 kcal) lets you enjoy a treat with a coffee without opening a pack. Four minis equal one bar: pick the format that suits you.

In minutes of walking, for scale

According to the 2024 Compendium of Physical Activities, walking at a moderate pace (about 5 km/h) is worth 3.8 MET, or about 4.4 kcal per minute for a 70 kg adult (Ember’s calculation). One bar is close to half an hour of walking, a pack a little under an hour, a mini 7 minutes. It is an order of magnitude, not a price to pay.

Finding its place in the day

A bar fits easily as an afternoon snack or at the end of a meal. For days when you fancy something else, our guide to healthy snacks has ideas for every time of day.

The simplest way is to log it without overthinking. With Ember, you snap a photo of your Kinder Bueno or type “a pack of Kinder Bueno”: the calories, sugar and macros are added to your day, alongside your meals.

Key takeaways

One Kinder Bueno bar contains 122 kcal and 8.9 g of sugar; the standard pack holds two, which makes 244 kcal and 17.8 g of sugar. The White version is slightly lighter per bar (111 kcal), the Dark one slightly richer (125 kcal), and the mini has 31 kcal. The recipe and values are the same in the UK, France, Spain, Germany and Sweden; only multipacks read differently from one country to the next. A pack covers 12% of the reference intake for energy, but more than a third of the one for saturated fat. None of that stops you from enjoying one: you just need to know how many bars you are eating.

Frequently asked questions about Kinder Bueno calories

Two bars, which is one standard 43 g pack, contain 244 kcal based on Ferrero’s per-bar values (246 kcal if you work from the per-100 g values). They also provide 17.8 g of sugar, 16 g of fat including 7.4 g of saturates, and 3.6 g of protein.

One Kinder Bueno White bar weighs 19.5 g and contains 111 kcal and 8.6 g of sugar. The pack of two (39 g) therefore has 222 kcal. Per 100 g, White (571 kcal) is almost as calorific as the classic (572 kcal): its smaller bars are what make it lighter.

31 kcal per 5.4 g piece, with 2.2 g of sugar. Four minis roughly equal one classic bar (124 kcal), and a bag of 20 minis (108 g) adds up to about 620 kcal.

8.9 g per bar and 17.8 g per pack of two, which is 41.2 g per 100 g. That is fairly low for a Kinder bar: Kinder Chocolate and Kinder Maxi contain 53.3 g per 100 g. A pack covers 20% of the reference intake for sugars (90 g).

Yes: no single food makes you gain weight, it is the balance over the day and the week that counts. One bar (122 kcal) is 6% of a 2,000 kcal intake. The most useful thing is to know what you actually eat, one bar or the whole pack, and to log it.

A 90 ml (62 g) Kinder Bueno cone contains 219 kcal and 16.3 g of sugar, and the White version 218 kcal. One portion of the Kinder Bueno tub (100 ml) contains 197 kcal, according to Ferrero’s official values.
